Bought a watch at auction but I think it's not as advertised

Hey everyone, new to this forum and new to watches so bear with me. So i bought this speedmaster from an auction where it said it's a mark II produced in 2019 with ref number 327.10.43.50.06.001.
Received it yesterday and I'm pretty sure this is a vintage mechanical watch, I can't find an identical one online because mine has orange hands and the other ones have white ones so that is also confusing me.
Can anyone give me more info about this watch before I write to the auction house. Thank you

Cheers,
Suki

That's a vintage Mark II for sure, totally different watch and movement but I have made this mistake myself in labelling an eBay auction when I posted it while half asleep once so it can happen. You should have grounds for a full refund if you ask for one.

Thanks mate, so it is a vintage one.
It is, and yea the vintage ones are worth less than the modern ones currently. That isn't to say the vintage ones are bad, they're actually great watches but there are more of them surviving in the market than there are interested buyers in general which keeps the price down. The modern ones, just because of their high MSRP are still worth a lot more so you should get a refund unless you got it for a very low price.

I do like the watch but the fact it's not automatic is a dealbreaker for me, the price was 3600AUD so not really cheap looking at similar ones.
Thanks for the help guys, I'll contact the auction house and see what they say about this.

That's a great price and a great condition watch. The case is nice enough that it could have been reconditioned in the past, although I am not thinking it was. The dial is clean, with vibrant colors and great lume. If you were looking for this vintage reference you'd be hard pressed to find another in this condition and certainly pay a lot more.

You might want to do a little looking around at others to compare yours to them before you throw it back.

The modern Mk IIs have a date at 6 o'clock, if you want to visually sort them out faster.

If he wasn't in Australia I was thinking about buying it from him.

Were there any other MKIIs in the auction?
Is it possible the "packer" grabbed the wrong Speedie?

It's also possible that the auction house used AI to get the description of the watch via Google lens and either didn't know the difference or didn't bother validating the data.

Hope you can sort it with the auction house.
