    Hello fellow watchlovers.
I am Jannik, i am new to this forum and this is my first post, so please be gentle with me

I recently bought this early Omega Genéve with crosshair dial and cursive text. Ref. 14702-3 SC cal. 552 from 1959. I would really like to add a BoR bracelet to the watch because i love the classic look with the bracelet.

My question now is, which if any BoR bracelet/end-links will fit the case of my Genéve?

I know from the Omega museé that the watch was born with a strap option only. But i also know that some other models like the Constellations born with a strap, had the opportunity to add a bracelet later on. Is it the same with the early Genéves?

I have found these photos online (they are not mine) of a early Genéve with the 9 link BoR bracelet. Im not a 100% sure the case on this particular model are the same as mine, but i think so. I can’t really make out what the stamping on the clasp says. Either it’s 1837 or 1037. And there is no photos of the end-links.

So if anyone can steer me in the right direction, that would be much appriciated :)

    Best regards
    Jannik

    Hej Jannik :)

I think you ought to look for an earlier 5-link BoR which has a more rounded, soft shape that accommodates the overall shape better than the later, 7-link one in your photo. I have a 50's Seamaster with a BoR on no. 11 end links, which would be my suggestion.

    Thanks alot ConElPueblo.
So the 5-link BoR is the more “bulky” looking bracelet, compared to the “flatter” 7-link?

I think you might be right about the 5-link being a better fit!
What reference is your 5-link BoR?
And would both the 5-link and the 7-link size wise fit a 18mm lugwidth?

    Best regards

Hahaha - I think that's my old watch! Some of the photos might be mine also, and I'm sure this one is Steve's / cicindela's:

Anyway, the fit inside the lugs is determined by the end links, which are mostly 18mm for BoR bracelets from that era.

Well then i like your taste i watches and bracelets ;-)

Ahh okay. So there is only one version of the 5-link BoR? -But alot of different end-links to match a certain case?

When researching the flat 7-link bracelet, i found a great deal of different bracelet refs. that only fitted certain end-links which then only fitted certain cases :-o

    Best regards
