The Theory of Horology (2015 Edition preferred) REYMONDIN/MONNIER/JEANNERET/PELARATTI 376 pages Language : english Please pm or email at [email protected] if you can help cheers John
Found one. Book USD40, shipping USD80, experience of USPS: priceless. Thanks for the autograph offer, mate, just send the autograph on a cheque. Edit: back to refreshing the ST (Speedy Tuesday) Omega page.....
Very good price on the book - it's a textbook, so those tend to be higher in cost than regular books. I'm sure I paid far more than your book and shipping cost for mine, and that was years ago, but of course it was not optional. It's also fairly heavy, which would partially explain the shipping costs. I don't know why you want this book or what you feel you will get from it, but just FYI in case you have never seen it - it's not a "how to" that explains how to make or service anything, hence being the "theory" of horology...but have fun reading about escapement angles, mainspring calculations, etc.! Cheers, Al
Thanks, Al, it is an excellent price and to be honest I have absolutely no qualms with the combined costs as it was much, much cheaper than picking it up from some more well known sources. It is a preferred reference text at the Watchmaker's school here where I am located. Unfortunately for us newer students, past students tend to hold on to their copies. Cheers J (Nascent tinkerer)
