I called my AD to reserve this in November. Nada! Finally went to the secondary market - didn't want to wait any longer . First thing I did was to remove that stiff (ass Brit) mesh bracelet and replace it with a standard 8800 bracelet. I love the old school blue on this. (I DID purchase the shorter mesh bracelet, but it isn't any better. That clasp is bent at such a goofy angle, it just doesn't feel right.)

Congrats and it looks beautiful. This is what I wanted to do exactly if I got the chance to buy the watch but at this rate I don't think I will ever purchase this from the OB since they haven't gotten any of them in anyways.

Yup - I'd waited long enough, ha!

With the mesh bracelet. I swapped mine to the shorter version when I bought the watch (I was lucky enough to buy new so Omega do this free of charge). It wasn't comfortable to begin with but you need to take some time to break it in. I think there is a thread on either here or WUS on how to do it.

Congrats! This is my favourite modern seamaster i think. I like the 60 at 12 and no date.

Thank you that's the one. Same process for the steel and just takes a bit more time. But mine has gone from uncomfortable to the point of not wanting to wear the watch to forgetting it is on my wrist at times.

I'll take a look at this thread, but the problem I find is actually the clasp itself and not the mesh bracelet. I just think it is bent at such an odd angle, that it's failure to conform with the curve of a wrist makes it ungainly to wear.

Yo 10mm, would you mind sharing more pictures of this in various lights? I really like the dark blue and I really like the lack of a date window, and am considering a dark blue seamaster.

Love the bracelet look, btw... really improves the look of the watch.

The problem with that bracelet is the limited adjustment, 1/4" between each hole. If you are like me and fit in between, then it's either too tight or too loose. The triangular shaped piece on the end when you pin the clasp to the holes tends to dig in your wrist and cause a reddish uncomfortable indentation. For me changing to short strap didn't make any difference in the comfort, but it did make it look less bulky as there was less overlap.

My OB came through for me on this one after 3 months. To be honest I was surprised as they didn't seem particularly optimistic that they would get any!

Really enjoying it with all the unique touches which differentiate it from the mainstream models.

Try the aftermarket bracelet from my video here:

Not only it is better, flexible, tapers nicely from 20 to 15mm, but the clasp is also better with easy and hole-less regulation on the fly. Not to mention the price 馃槈

This really is one of my favorite Seamasters. The only negative thing I have to say is I don鈥檛 love the new HEV. Or HEVs period. But it鈥檚 just such a beautiful watch. They nailed it with this one.

HEV is a negative mark but it is such a big part of the watches DNA it will never be dropped.

My pal customised one of my pics, sums this piece up for me...
