Hello all. Just throwing this out there; it's 60 years since Sean Connery started the film phenomenon that is James Bond on the big screen, so I'm sure that Omega, a la the 40th and 50th anniversary years will commemorate the series with (yet) another Bond Limited Edition piece.

So, what are we expecting? My guess/hope is an Aqua Terra variant. The AT has been used in the last 3 films, as has been variants of the divers (SMP and 300m) so guess we'll see

Apparently Omega are not doing LEs anymore.

But who knows what whim and fancy may decide...

Maybe it will be a Bond special like the NTTD Ti SMP then. That's the first Bond special that isn't produced in a limited number run.

Probably another Seamaster variation like the On Her Majesty's Secret Service one.

He did indeed. As he did in the books. And later Bond, in the films, went on to wear a Breitling, Seiko, TAG etc before EON Productions chose Omega, in 1995, and have stayed with them since (for some hefty product placement).

I think that an anniversary recognizing Sean Connery would be an anniversary that recognizes Rolex. I dont think Omega is capable of doing it. They simply hate them roo much.

You guys are over thinking it. Lazenby didn't wear Omega. They did a On Her Majesty's Secret Service anniversary limited edition for it.

Well, a lot may ride on what Mrs. Bond will like. Other than that it would be kind of weird to celebrate 60 years of Bond with an Omega when the original watches were Rolex.
