Dear fellow members,

I would like to ask for your expertise on this matter.

I own a Speedmaster Professional in the 48xxxxxx serial range—specifically, the model known as the "Blue Hesalite."
As you know, this is the version where the crystal becomes cloudy, giving the dial a bluish appearance.

I also own a Speedmaster Reduced from the same era (That serial number is in the 515xxxxx range) , and its crystal has become cloudy in the same way; it lacks the Omega symbol that ought to be in the center.
However, this matches the "Blue Hesalite" Professional model exactly.

I would like to ask everyone here whether this crystal is the original one from the time of manufacture.

I would greatly appreciate your insights.

Thank you.

That sounds great. Do you have any picture side by side of your blue hesalite glasses?

An original crystal would have the Omega stamped in it, so this is likely just an effect with using a non-Omega crystal. As far as I can tell there's only ever been one crystal used in these - 063PW5274
