Dear members, I am offering this watch for sale and have set the price at US $650 plus shipping. (Paypal or Canadian etransfer).

Returns considered if needed.

I have 6 feedback entries (see photo) and some very recent ones on the Adventures in Strap Making thread.

I got this in 2019 from my friend who owns a jewelry store. It had been in a box of unclaimed watches stored for some 35 years.

It ran fast.

My jeweller sent it to his watchmaker in Toronto and it now works fine. I gave him a bunch of straps in exchange so there’s no documentation to show this 2019 service.

The Seiko 7005-8052 is available on Ebay, but blue dial ones seem to be rare. I was not sure how to price it. If I priced it too low, hurry! If I priced it too high, I am keeping it.

Watch head only. The metal strap in one of the pics is Sterling Silver. Negotiable perhaps.

Automatic movement with quick set date works well. Keeps good time.

Bezel has scratches expected on an old watch (circa 1970?). Bezel moves in both directions. Bezel does not click, it glides. It is secure and does not move without deliberate effort to set it.

The SS case is difficult to measure due to its shape. I call it 38 mm. Comparable to the Sub 5513 that I once owned. Have a look at the photos. It has some wear and scratches, as does the case back.

Lug width: 18 mm.

Lume shines bright and fades quickly to a very low glow.

Please ask questions or post comments if you have any that may be helpful to other members.

Thank you moderators for your work.

Steve

Late entry. Photos got all shuffled when I created the thread. Likely suspect: I used my iphone.

Bracelet added. Older Spiedel, tapered to 16mm. Pictured on my wrist (7 1/4) with 2 more holes available on the clasp to add perhaps another 1/4 inch. This may be the bracelet that was on the watch when my jeweller found it.

Withdrawn. 2 reasons: 1) not much interest from members. 2) I wore it with the bracelet from my second post (this post) and really liked it. I would regret it.
