dear all. My birthyear is 1970. what a pitty. Most watches pretend to be from 69

Now it seems I found a 1970 speedy with 32... serial no. Blue bezel and unrestored, what means "rocked", example of a nice speedy.

    Seller asks for 3.700 Euro.

    What does your expertise say?

    It says:

why have you blanked out the chrono24 watermark?

What does your research make you think of the watch?

How do you think it compares to others in the market place?

And where are the rest of the pictures?

Help us to help you... ;)

Was in the process of writing very similar response. More pics needed and so on. And if you are going to black out the watermark, at least do it properly :p

PS: Google reverse image search does wonders as well.

I would rather go for that one for 3700 Euro myself, if I had to choose between these 2.

Only way to be 100% certain what year watch was made is to get the extract. 32M serial can be 69, 70, 71 in term of year. 71 on the caseback is just the reference number and doesnt match the year of production.

Ok. That means it could be that the watch was produced in 1970 although they used a caseback saying 71?

-71 is a reference. There is no -70 reference, so it could have been made in 3 years I mentioned above.

That sounds good! Never seen a stamped 70 - grail

Ok, now to my feeling: I think the watch could be a 1970. i like the step dial. The hands are ok, my eyes arent, so I do not see the missing tritium
And I really like the blue bezel. And the watch lived in a way. It seems not that perfect, what I like.

    Still pricing is an issue...

Amd this Apollo XI ha to leave....

No you can't date 321 or 861 movements with that. It's well documented that Speedmasters did not use sequential serials. As noted you need an extract to nail a year. But some casebacks are unique to a year in this period. I'm mobile and can't pull that info.

To the op. That blue bezel is very questionable.
