Is this a concerning trend? Are smart watches responsible for drop in interest in lower tier Swiss watches? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...uction-ebbs-as-shipments-approach-35-year-low
If so then it is concerning, especially since I have less interest in smart watches than I do lower tier Swiss watches. No interest whatsoever would be more to the point.
This really is nothing new. Hard to find anyone under 40 wearing a "real" watch let alone a quality timepiece.
I see a move on Reddit where people are taking of their smart watches and picking up a nice auto seiko,Rolex, omega and some of the bigger brands. It certainly changed things but a nice analogue watch will always have its place. But between smart phones for telling time and the tech guys smart watch I’m sure it had some effect on sales. I imagine at some point I will end up with a smart watch just to see what the deal is but it’s at the bottom of a long list
