Hi OF,

Have had a rather uncommon 2652 Constellation arrive today I thought was worth sharing. I saw it on eBay about a month ago with some terrible photos but always a sucker for a gamble I went for it. After a long wait in the post it just arrived this evening and I am very happy with it.

I have only seen one other black hobnail Constellation in my searches online. I'm sure there are others... maybe this post will get some to be posted 😀

I need to take some more photos tomorrow when the lighting is better but here is a quick one from tonight mounted on a 7912 transitional:

Sure, here are the posts from the auction. Only 2 photos of the dial and both overexposed

And when I asked for better photos... not much better. But I had never seen one for sale before so decided to roll the dice. Its a difficult watch to photograph for sure.

@cristos71 love yours. Wouldn't have known this dial configuration existed if not for your post on it years ago. I've heard rumors these were special order dials. Is there any truth to that?

Thanks everyone 😀 Enjoying it today. Hopefully an arrowhead black hobnail will be uncovered one day.

Pretty hard to photograph the dial properly. Have owned a handful of black waffles in the past and those seemed easier to photograph for some reason
