    Hi All,

Hoping to get your opinion on this constellation. The dial looks original to me, but would like to have the experts take a look. I haven't seen many of this dial configuration to compare to.

    Mike

Dial is in very aged condition with faded printing. Case and bezel are very polished and rounded.

Pictures of the back and inside are necessary for fuller assessment of the watch.

Ref 14393. Cal 561. Asked seller for movement pics, but still waiting on those. Case is well over polished. Would need donor case.

Really just wondering if dial is is legit/acceptable or is it too far gone.

The dial is legit and original, but the prints are very faded to the point that they look much darker than the metal furniture. This appearance will show in real life too. You'd better look at the watch in the metal in order to have a real impression if you like it or not.

Adding other photos I have. Can barely make out the observatory

I really like the black/rose gold combo; only reason I'm considering this. But if dial is too far gone/redial I will pass.

Call me a 'medallion snob' if you want, but this badly worn/polished one in combo with the polished case turn me off...

...although uncommon, there's better black Connies out there if you are very patient...:)

Second look: that dial is still a great combo. I agree with you about how nice the rose gold looks on a black dial, even WITH the advanced patina...

Dreadful polish job, for me reason enough to pass. The date surround also looks yellow rather than pink gold like the rest of the dial furniture

If you like it as it is and the price is right, it can be a nice wearer. Otherwise...

I have seen a few others with yellow gold looking date surrounds, so I think it may be original? Either way it does detract from the dial. Coupled with the heavy patina on the dial I think I might have been convinced to pass. It's being offered at 1300 which I think would be a good price if it wasnt so overly polished.

Way too much for a connie in this condition.

Pity about the medallion because pink gold dial furniture on black is not all that common.

I would say downright rare! I don't think I've seen more than 10 original ones in the last 10 years - for sale or not and of those maybe only 5 were in good shape! And this combination is really rare for seamaster chronometres!
