Black Dial Watches, original or just re-finished black?

It seems that dealers from some parts of the world have a lot of black dial watches from nearly all the makers, especially Omega. Philippines, India, Central and South America, Ukraine, etc.
Were these places strong markets for black dialed watches or are there a lot of creative dial finishers there? Thanks!

Chances are if these black dials are original, and if they are sourced from the countries you mentioned, then there must have been a demand for black dials. If they are re-finished black, your guess is as good as mine! Lots of black dials show up on OF.

Huge market for black dialed 60's dress Omegas and as such, a significant no of white dials have been refinished black.

Read the fine print. Many sellers do state the 'original dial has been refinished' or similar. Even if they don't say that, Id be very wary buying from the places you mention.
