    Pardon the blur. In the direct sunlight the dial looks chocolate brown, not black. Is this correct?
    Looks like I'm trying to coverup something. Really trying to hold camera in one hand & watch in other.

    Some black omega dials from this era become chocolate brown also called a "tropical" dial. This was most famous for some speedmasters and is thought to be due to the omission of a UV protective coating to the dial in some batches causing this discoloration.
