Black Dial Pie Pan Buying Opportunity

Evening all,

I’ve been in talks for a few days now with a seller regarding this black dial pie pan. It’s a 14902.
I’ve requested caseback and movement photos which they’re having their watchmaker do for me tomorrow, that should confirm my assumption of the ref and allow me to inspect the movement and to make sure it’s the correct one as well (561)

I’d consider myself a competent constellation collector, albeit new to signing up to the forum, however I’ve never bought, or handled a genuine black dial pie pan.

Now, the watch needs a service, that has been admitted, it runs fine etc but is a bit dirty as you’ll be able to see from the photos. It’s quite gunked up on the case, well everywhere. Plus the gasket looks like it needs a change under the crystal too.

I can see there’s a scratch on the top of the crystal, no biggy, I’ll likely replace it as it doesn’t appear to be an original omega one anyway.

I just want to make sure there is nothing else I’m missing. To me, the dial looks genuine. The case is in good condition. Few scratches but sharp. I’d appreciate a second opinion on this please before I pull the trigger.

This is of course pending movement shots and caseback shots. Provided all else adds up, what do you all think of this dial? That is really the main thing here that I need to be 110% certain of.

Thanks in advance
Reggie
