Okay guys I need some help here.

I am between two watches
  • white dial speedy
  • black aluminum bezel no date on mesh bracelet.

Both watches are incredible and I wish I could have both but not in the cards right now.

What are everyone’s thoughts ?

Both are great watches (I love my Seamasters) but if it were me it’s the White Speedmaster all day long.

Just buy what you like, there is no way a bunch of strangers on the internet can analyze and tell you which watch is better for you.

The two are soooo different, this is a straight taste thing. The CORRECT answer of course is "1 of each".

That said, most of us end up with at least 1 speedmaster and at least 1 Diver 300m (I've got... 6 speedies and 1 white 300m), so the 'why not both' is the correct answer 😀

Isn’t that what the internet is for? 🤔😝

The Seamaster is more versatile with the HEV, you just cant escape the helium with a Speedy.

If you are a diver, go with the dive watch. If you are a racer (or an astronaut) get the Speedmaster. If you fall into another camp, get whichever one you like the best.

I've had several Seamasters, but they never seem to stick around. Right now the only Omega I have is the white Speedy, and I love it.

Welll little update. I ended up getting the white speedy, and not selling my black dial seamaster. But the more I wear the speedy, I am not sure the seamaster will stay in the collection!

Both is the obvious answer, I have four 3861s and a blue Diver 300. Among other things.

Yeah, 1 watch isnt enough 😀 I love my 300m for days when I'm going to be rough on things. The Speedmaster feels more fragile, and the 300m is very durable, so it gets days when I'm going to be rough with my watch.

I'm up to 6 Speedmasters though, so plenty of choices

Love that! I have a norqain which has become my I’m going to be rough but doesn’t hurt to have a seamaster as well.

This ends up being pretty all over the place for me. Some watches will get a ton of time all at once, then another. The 300m/similar watches get more time in the summer, in part because we do beach time/pools/etc

Totally makes sense. It’s winter here in Chicago so not a lot of beach time at the moment haha.

While any watch can be worn in any circumstance, and while both of these are technically sports watches, the Seamaster to me is the more casual/sporty one, so which circumstance do you find yourself in more often and wanting to wear a nice watch: casual/sporty vs. "normal" everyday/evenings?

For me it would be that simple if you otherwise have no preference (Seamaster if you want a more casual/sporty watch, Speedy if more everyday/evening). And if you have other watches that already serve those purposes and prefer to minimize redundancy or maximize versatility, then the decision gets even easier. Cheers,

Different one every day. (of the week) . All have their charm. But if I'm going to be working on the car or something, I wear an old casio. But wearing my white 3861 today.

That’s a great point and so far I’ve just been rotating them every day or so and it’s working great 😂
