Impressed with the movement ( i'm coming at this as someone who had no real idea about the complexity of watch movements ), just find the watch a little bling.
Next time someone asks me I spend a lot of money on watches, when a cheap quartz will keep better time, I will show them this video.
That watch would be worth the gross national product of a small country! I was thinking as I watched the engraver doing the bezel, one slip and he ends up collecting pogey! If I ordered one now, I wouldn't live long enough to actually own it!
I'm confused? 'Buying'? Wasn't that an instructional video? I'm popping out to my shed to knock one up!
Impressed with this forum! Looks like 2 of the 7 produced will be owned by forum members! So are 2998-1's beaters on this forum?
Definitely my cup of tea ... I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up a little during the video (mainly because I'll never have one of those particular models)
Don't worry about it...you're in good company on that one. Not that I can see myself wearing this particular model, it does look a little like a bathroom fixture in a Saudi Princes palace. No disrespect at all to bathrooms, fixtures, palaces, Princes and of course to PP.
I saw this a few days ago, and spent 10 minutes completely captivated...fly flew into my open mouth, I was so mesmerized.
A little gaudy for my taste, but one cannot help but appreciate the hand craftmanship. I wonder how many man-hours are needed to produce a single watch?
