I just get this watch. I love how it looks. Omega did an amazing job with it. The only problem is that I am not sure if it look good on me. I think that maybe some watch are not for everyone. What do you think, is wearable?

IMO, a watch is supposed to make you feel good, regardless of what others think. Having said that, if you wore it a little higher on your wrist it would look much better.

    Enjoy!

As I type this, Bill is playing his waltz for Debbie at The Village Vanguard on my stereo.
I'm thinking he preferred smaller watches too.

Photos often make it look bigger than in real life. It doesn’t matter though, it’s how it looks to you; if you’re happy with it then enjoy it.

39mm looks small on my wrist to my eye, I could never wear a 35mm or smaller.

    personal preference

I used to say that I couldn’t wear smaller than 36 and then I got a few vintage military pieces and wore them regularly for weeks (31-33mm) not alternating my bigger watches- and they began to feel perfectly normal. Then when I threw my Speedy on- it felt huge!
I find smaller watches work for me in the colder months with long sleeves and larger in the summer when I roll my sleeves up. It’s all a matter of getting used to it and as said earlier- what you think looks good.

Muy grande. Try a vintage 36 mm or 34 mm Seamaster. It will look fantastic.

There are also some modern Omega “midsized” watches that fall around the 36mm range. And a classic akin to the style of the Railmaster is the 36mm Rolex Explorer- a perfect size for that form factor.

    Depends on your personal preference.

If you’re asking me how I feel about your watch, then I’d say the ref. 2504.52 would look better on your wrist. It’s the same railmaster aqua terra, only smaller at 36mm

I was thinking the same thing. I've never seen someone wear a watch down past their wrist like that.

Size is personal and all that matters is how it looks in your eyes. No one else really cares.

Might help to see a more distant photo, these close up mobile phone pics often make watches appear much larger on the wrist than they probably would in real life.

It's a large watch no doubt but I bet would look much better not so close up.

My personal view is if there should be at least some strap curve top and bottom of the watch, if the strap is pulled vertically down from the lugs then it's too large. Worse still is if the lugs are protruding over the edges of the wrist.

I wear some watches that people would class as too small, and some that others would class as too chunky. All my watches make me happy so everyone else can think what they like.

I think the lug-lug distance is a big one people don’t pay attention to, most are focused on width. The length across the top of your wrist and where the lugs fall (the shape of the lugs can also determine this) is a big deal and much like fitting a suit properly- there is too big or too small- but changing taste have dictated that proper fit doesn’t really matter as long as you like the look- this isn’t really true in the traditional sense of suit fitting- nor do I think for watch fitting.
A 44mm watch on a 6.5” wrist is just gonna look big, almost clownish. A 32mm watch on an 8” wrist will look like you raided the ladies section of the jewelry store. Yes, it is a matter of taste, but I personally think there is a range that fits someone’s wrist properly.
