·I had notice today of an upcoming auction and I can't believe how easy it would be to get away with a Franken Submariner.
First the case, dial and hands:

Allowing for import duties on the movement, that's about £1,800 (less if you wait for a movement from the EU). Stick it in the next auction, anywhere and you can guarantee at least £3,500.
Not a bad profit, so beware case number 2950417.
