These guys sell a lot of volume and a lot of real Omega models,

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dk...re&store_name=izkjapanstore&_oac=1&_nkw=omega

but their most recent listings make me think they probably don't even look at their watches before listing them

Reporting does nothing at this point and there's no authenticity guarantee for Japan watches AFAIK so caveat emptor

I purchase a fair number of watches from Japan. These large inventory sellers offer very fair prices, but rarely inspect the watches aside from taking photos. That means you can be lucky or unlucky.

My recommendation is to use Google lens, evaluate closely the pictures, and importantly, buy something you can be certain about! For example, a well known model with a serviceable movement!

Best of luck.

i bought two recently and both had completely rusted movements due to water intrusion (while no indication on the dial or elsewhere)..very expensive lesson for me regarding japan purchases (in europe i bought around 500 plus vntg watches and literally only 1 tudor had rust on the mvmnt)

From which seller did you buy these from?

I wonder if there is a correlation between the bulk sellers and the poor condition. I personally never had issues buying from private sellers. Perhaps ~20% have more ‘serious’ issues but overall I’ve had a positive experience.
