Convincing enough at first glance, but its in the details.

A few genuine ones at the bottom for reference.

End pieces lack reference numbers and the Omega markings on the hinge are incorrect.

Its also apparent in the crispness of the stampings, the "NEW" ones having softer edges, etc.

"Here is a new OTHER MADE REPLACEMENT BAND FOR OMEGA"

"OTHER MADE" = COUNTERFEIT.

I've seen these offered by many different sellers recently. If the price seems too good, it probably IS, just sayin'.

Thanks for that 👍

I was looking at these yesterday and was almost convinced, but my gut feeling was knock-off.

I believe the stamping gives it away as the copies almost always miss the mark on that part as their stamp is usually done with a cheap method

I purchased one recently myself. Paid almost nothing for it so I can't be too sad. Pictures weren't very good so I put a bid on it anyway And won. Oh well, something to wear the watch on when I'm gardening

Fell for these too. Quality is not good, and the links get "locked up" near the lugs (i.e. get "stuck" in a position).

Hmm, the seller's from Singapore and that's where I'm from. He/she does not allow buyers to meet him/her to collect the items.

I'm always suspicious when, despite being in the same country, the seller doesn't allow face-to-face transactions 😒

Bought one of these before joining here, other owners may want to check links, one of mine has come loose

How well would it work? Do you have experience or more info with glueing loose links?

Regards,

Tony

I just traded this watch last week: I traded it for a nice 70s gold filled television-dial Constellation with a rather beautiful deep ruby red dial. I figured that the 564 movement watch has to be better than that 70s el-cheapo movement.

When I bought it, I thought that the bracelet looks MUCH later than the watch and that I could sell the strap to further subsidise the cost of the watch. Not sure if it comes through on everyone's monitor but the gold colour on the dial is rose colour while that on the strap is yellow. But I have seen that curiosity on some genuine 'matches'. (so will the few posters who habitually take great pleasure in shouting that any watch which has ever been serviced and any part ever replaced must therefore be a frankenmonster need not chime in on this one)

The bracelet is marked 1093 and 11 in a circle with no end-piece markings by the 1093. It hadnt occurred to me that the bracelet might be fake and I haven't seen any fakes marked 1093, - which is a slightly odd [and very specific] number for anyone to fake, especially without end piece markings

Definitely not vintage, but I bought this hoping it was a modern service item. However, now it's arrived I'm thinking it's just fake.
The stamp doesn't seem the best quality and there are no numbers in the endlinks.

Kinda looks like the one @peatnick had above?

Any ideas?

Could be very legit. All of the small "bead" links are solid and very interesting. Just a few Omega bracelets have solid small links like this. Cost would be to high for a counterfeit.

Doesn't look like Peatnick's at all.

If it's a fake it's a good one, but for what it's worth I don't think it's fake. I was thinking though, should the endlinks stamped 570 but I am far from any expert. Just my .02 cents worth.

There seems to be a new batch of these fake Beads of Rice bracelets in the UK, with several sellers having them in stock on eBay.co.uk at the minute.

If one reads the description they do say they're aftermarket, but I've noticed one or two resellers omitting this info.

The obvious tell appears to be that the individual links are solid with drilled holes, coupled with the fact that where-as genuine ones are very fluid and easily move to fit your wrist, these copies are stiff and clumsy.

Examples;
