Hi there just wanted to hear peoples opinions on
1. what's the best type of watch straps suitable for the speedy with a see thru caseback
2. where would you recommend buying them? which website or what brand in particular?
3. price range and shipping to NZ?

What style do you like?
What is your budget? $5-$400+?
Do you need to see the back when you take your watch off?
Dressy or casual?
Are you planning to go auto racing with it? Perhaps perform an EVA?
Or just find the perfect strap for your lifestyle?

I can guess you need a kiwi green emu leather strap. I think I might be wrong though.

The speedy pro looks great on a number of straps, more so then almost any other watch. Check out the wruw thread in open discussion and you will see hundreds of strap choices.

FYI the speedmaster pro uses a 20mm strap.


Hmm kiwi green emu leather... I wonder if I can get that in a nice padded strap with black stitching with an 18mm buckle.... I kind of like that idea.

 

Basically any strap that looks good on a speedmaster pro without the seethrough caseback will do.
i would avoid natos and pullthough straps, its a shame to cover the beautiful movement.

I think you can get away with almost every strap on a Speedy. But I like to see a light brown suede strap on it.

This combo is first time a speedy has spoken to me. Uhoh.

 

Wow so many straps haha....... Though can anyone vouch for the quality of crown and buckle?

 

Besides putting my Speedmaster on a Planet Ocean black rubber strap, also have worn it on a Hirsh leather strap with Hirsh deployant buckle.

 

Pretty neat strap...used, though. Heavily.
