Ok, I know I need a copy of A Journey Through Time, but that's going to be a while. Do you recommend any other references specifically on Omega? http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Designs-Feast-Anton-Kreuzer/dp/0764329952/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Omega designs has the most horrible reviews, but based on the text of the reviews I suspect it might be quite useful - can anyone confirm?
I am quite enjoying John Goldberger's Omega Watches. Out of print, but some ebay sellers in italy have remaindered copies at half the RRP. It is just a book of photos, but still very nice. Happy to post more pics if interested
Me too! I can't justify going back and forth to STS to 'pretend' to want a service when I really just want to spend a day reading their reference books..I'm starting to look geeky..you know it's too far when they offer you tea and scones..
I like Goldberger's "Omega Sportswatches". But as you both prefer dressier watches rather than Speedmasters, Seamaster Divers, etc, it probably isn't what you're looking for.
bizarrely, i do own that one already. Not quite sure how it happened. I think i will go for the non sporty one too. Thanks!
One of our members here: JonW authored the Omega PloProf book. Obviously heavily PloProf/dive watch focused
thanks john - my wife is in Canada next week so I've asked her to check out the Vancouver boutiques for me...
As the original poster asked "" specifically on Omega "" The well-documented softcover " Omega Speedmaster Apollo Soyuz "the first" " (by forum-member mstanga) is a well-researched publication specifically on this single limited edition Speedmaster offered at the Italian market in May 1976. FYI ordering book via: https://issuu.com/mstanga/docs
@SpeedyPhill : the spine of my copy of "The Moon Watch" is all in English. Was it published in multiple languages?
There are a few more, if your local bookstore has a good Japanese section they might be able to order them. This is the Seamaster book i paid about $25 from the store, they're a little more expensive these days. http://hirose1117.ocnk.net/product/2154 This is one of the many on the speedmaster. I can't read Japanese, but i like the pics. I'll see if i can take some pics of the others tonight when i get home. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Omega-Speedm...834096?hash=item5448c09770:g:PFIAAOSwqu9VBD0xPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
