Spins counter clockwise for 2 minutes. Then rests 6 minutes. Spins clockwise for 2 minutes. Rests 6 minutes. Repeats.
I wish there were one that just spun for 5 minutes an hour - that should be more than enough to maintain power reserve on a daily basis without un-necessary wear on the winding mechanism.
I’ve got the same model. There are a few settings on mine: bi directional, cw or ccw. And I can set it as per op, or it rotates for a few minutes each hour
I had a winder for a while and sold it. I liked the interaction when I had to wind and set a watch. Except my Panerai GMT. Takes a lot of turns to set the date if you haven't worn it in a while. Might have to get a winder just for it.
I used to have winders next to my bed. The cheap ones made a racket, and even the super-expensive made-in-America winder that was the best, still made a clicking noise when it started a cycle. Yes, a flatulent mouse will keep me awake, and my wife laughs at me because I wear earplugs when the frogs are going at it outside (typically this time of year after a good rain). Now I just don't bother, and if a watch I want to wear has wound-down, I wind it up. But it is a pain when there's a date complication.
Oh, sorry, forgot to say, it is Orbita, made right here in NC. https://www.orbita.com/ I had to Google it because I forgot the name, and this pops up on their web site, kinda cracked me up: Yes, they think a lot of their products.
