There is an extraordenary Universal Geneve event starting today at Bernardini in Milano. Starting at 17 o'clock european time. Just saw some pieces on IG, looks like an incredible collection. Starting with 1 gen. Compur to the 1960's... I wish I could go there...

I would advise attendees to have their homework done before pulling out the credit card. I wish I could go ...however even if I could I would have my lovely wife as a minder which would probably keep said CC in my wallet.

No better place to pick out a fake Polerouter Sub, it appears. They have three to chose from, including one with the much-coveted ultra-bogus US Navy ORD.Corps caseback for the connoisseurs of fakes! That one is SUPER hard to find since it was outed as a forgery about a decade ago. Oh boy!

But Lou, it’s only 15k, perhaps you’re being unreasonable....

Im wondering too about the Universalone. Ive never seen that case and lugs and with a cal 287?

very nice and big and long collection overall, but I totally agree that you need to be super careful and do your homework as usual!
Some dials in there are dubious and would need careful consideration and inspection.
Also, prices look a bit on the (very) high side, but some of the examples look indeed in great conditions and rare.
Would love to be there in person, but I am stuck in London for the time being!

Also, a part from the stuff that is being sold, there will be plenty of other great collector-grade examples on display: I know some of the collectors and their pieces that have contributed and there is some stellar stuff indeed!

Still this is a phenomenal assemblage of UGs. They seem to be striving to both inflate and cash in on the bubble.
Quick someone lend me 40k Euro for this:D:D- WW0090.CPXUGSS.960_1.jpg

Very crazy pricing, and more than a few that look put together to even my barely trained eye

Wonder how/what they would have priced a SAS Polarouter de luxe. But of course... it is not a diver or a chrono and as not it would probably not be interesting to these guys. ;)

The subdials are not centered ! Very expensive premium of 15.000 euro for a bad redone dial ! ::screwloose::
