Hello there,

I tracked down this benthos, the seller is asking for less than $1800 but im scared about the chipped crystal and the hands. Good thing looks like not polished at all. I can barely see the original brush finish.

Do you guys know how much can cost the crystal and hands?

Unless the crystal is compromised, I could live with it. Not sure if it is a standard size or not. Sometimes they are stepped making it a pain in the butt to source.
Relume the hands to match is pretty easy and inexpensive for any watchmaker.

I assume that you will relume and color-match the hands, not replace them.

So we can say this is a good piece for the price?

Originals don't come up very often. They did remake it. I have one that I purchased several years ago (before the re-release) for nearly that price. Judgement call.
If it's a watch that you always wanted, like me, yes. If you simply have passing interest and hoping to flip for profit, no.
