    Hi OF

I´m considering buying a Omega Speedmaster in a really bad shape. As you can see on the picture, the lug is bent.

Do you guys know if it is possible to get a bent luck repaired - also with a reasonable outcome?

    Thanks in advance.

Bent lugs can be fixed, want to find a good watchmaker though. Cases do come up, as remember seeing a few only a week or two ago that a member was selling on ebay (thread about Speedmasters being sold in pieces)

Hows the dial seeing that hesalite damage. :whistling:

Wow how does a lug get bent in that direction? If the watch was dropped, I figured the lug would just be dented pretty badly.

The rest of the watch isn't looking too pretty either.

Where can you see more of the watch? I see a straight lug case and a silver crystal ring, which means its pre 105.003. Could be worth something I bet ;)

Thank you guys - it seems like it is possible to get he lug fixed. And yes - it is a very interesting watch in a very bad condition. I´m going to see it within the next couple of weeks - and then I will see if can post some pictures.

I've repaired watches that were in motorcycle crashes and that had been run over by a car - neither had a bent lug, but lots of other damage.

Then it may be rolled over by a tank. That would increase the value massively as it has a military history :D

Spoke to them directly today and what my friend told me was just someone speculating. The auction house have no idea what happened.

This one has a lot of damage as well. Not just the bent lug.

Wow! That’s quite a banged up Speedy. Hope to see the new owner restore it to it’s former glory.

I've had a bent lug repaired in the past but that was on an 18ct Omega. Good luck if you decide to bid

Wow, someone sees the potential. And to be honest, while costly, it’s certsinly not out of the realm of “repair”.

They've rated the movement a 2/10, who knows what's going on in there...
