Hi everyone, I am new here, so thanks for an excellent forum. Here is my little collection: this watch I bought 2 weeks ago. I's from 1969. Works fine. It is now at the watchmaker, where i bought it, becauce glass turns. (thats why the numbers on outher dial are not in line) That I herited last year from my grandfather. Whatch maker totally repaired it. It is from 1972, cal 1481, type is st 166.0121
No better way to begin your watch collection than with a beautiful timepiece inherited from a grandparent. I'm novice to this forum, I have found the members to be supportive and I welcome you too.
Hello again. Something about me: I didn't keep a watch for at least 30 years, until I get that geneve. I really didn't know anything about whatches. Gladly today we have internet! I found this forum and also one fine finnish forum. Thats why I desided to get that geneve fixed at professional watchmaker. When I get it back, I didn't had heart to wear in my work, so I went to shop and bought an automatic certina as my working watch. Very pleased with that one anyway... Then that speedy come to sale at my local whatchmaker... I went to see it, and after 10 seconds it was sold. So now I have a plan: I try to buy a one whatch per year. Mark 3, mark 4, mark 4.5, original moon speedy, etc. If I someday buy a new whatch (other than Omega) it will be a Rolex Daytona. I like that speedmaster style dial
I've actually got both a '67 Speedmaster Pro and the SS Daytona, both awesome watches, you can't go wrong either way.
Yes! Specially that white dial and SS is soooo good looking. (I am not so gold fanatic). Still I have to save money for couple of years to get that daytona.
Hello! Today one more to the collection: Just bought that, it is from the year 1965 and 105.012, with 321 cal. I love it, it is THE whatch (for me anyway)!
