Before I buy a White Dial Moon Watch

I am looking at these for sale on the interweb. Some of these, new, seem yellowed a little bit.

Does this dial yellow? How long before it is looks less dramatic?

I may go with a gray dial depending on input.

I suspect it is the quality of the photos and the lighting that causes the yellow tint. Never heard of the dial yellowing, and if it does, then it should be replaceable under warranty if it occurs within the 5-year window

My wife isn't even willing to buy a white car because after a few years the paint yellows... Hope that is the case. I will keep it probably 20 years... well, 15 as that is probably how long I will live... haha

Well, automotive paint aside- the dial is.... just consider that other than UV light, it's not being exposed to "all the other stuff" that auto paint is being exposed to. As far as "white" dials go that go yellow, silver dials do that slightly naturally- but I haven't seen any of Omega's varnished/lacquered white dials do that (like the great white , which sometimes appears creamy but never yellowed).

I think it's mostly the lighting- just like black can tend towards gray, white is going to sometimes tend towards whatever light source it's exposed to.

I purchased this watch today... Pretty excited. Stunning looks. I got the black leather band as my other moonwatch has the metal band. I can learn to switch these out. I was given a white leather strap as a consolation prize to not getting a discount. hahaha

There was another couple in the shop as well. He was buying the white dial with metal band.

My agent said she would let me know if she got a snoopy for sale.

I also sent my quartz out for a new battery. Yay...

It's funny. I got 3 cards. 1) Master Chronometer (testing of the watch), 2) International Warranty and 3) Pictograms, which provides pictograms of the watch features... um that is a useless card. Who can read or decipher those tiny pictures.

Now the only thing to do is to insure the watch. My insurance is going up a little at a time as I buy more watches. ugh

No fade after a year here.
I'm hoping. I won't wear it often as I am retired so don't go out very often. So it will mostly sit in the travel case.

It is a really sharp watch.

Congrats on you new watch. That black leather strap with white trimming is awesome!

I wish the red thread was more prominent. It is on the underside of the band. Would offset the red lettering. But the white really offset the white dial. It really is a very nice watch. I wore it to church on Sunday.

Congrats, looks great! Got mine over a year ago, been on multiple vacations from north to south, lot of time in the sun. Looks like the day I bought it so don't think fading will be an issue.
