Well as many of us here are collectors by nature and even a few by choice. Who else will confess to this dire collecting penchant.

Here are some of mine, I am not really (yet) a serious collector of these but occasionally one passes by my nose that takes my fancy.

They are available for wildly disparate prices and even the rarity factor plays little part in the price.

In a dark and (apparently) dusty corner.

Lol just spotted in your collection an identical one in mine :) Gambrinus und St.Salvator a now discontinued original King-Werk Stein.
This one I bought earlier in the week for the princely sum of US$4.00 in perfect condition ( as they mostly are).

Most of mine were gifts. A few I bought at garage sales. I live near Ft. Sill in Oklahoma, and there used to be a ton of guys that had spent time stationed in Germany and would buy steins.

IMG_0634.jpeg Not so much as collect them but I’ve been known to empty them……there are a few laying about the place and I keep one of these double skinned vacuum steins by my bed at night full of ice and water with a squeeze of either lime or lemon in it

I only have one that I picked up several years ago at a thrift store - I've never seen another like it, despite lots of googling. I am fairly sure that is is quite old but I have no proof. If anyone is interested in it let me know.

Oh, beer steins. I was going to reply that most of the ones I get wash straight out. Even when from entire, mild or stout.

Not so many steins, but hundreds of glasses. Seems like whenever I buy a watch I have to buy a glass. And often both German!

I don't know about collecting them.

But I can empty them like a champ.

Thats an activity I can fully participate in!

It's been my intention to have a Beer Stein Party, sought of a mini October Fest but that of course might just be the Beer talking.
These days I stick to cheap wine and Whisky ( well any thing that will give the desired effect) but I think a Stein of Whisky might not have the desired outcomes however mini steins, and I have a few......
