I recently inherited this beautiful vintage omega and was wondering if any of you could be kind enough to shed some light on this piece and its production history, and what it could be worth.. from what i know its an early 40's, rose gold case, and about 36mm. Thank you all - Michael

    Hi,
It is difficult to say much without seeing whats inside. If I had to guess this is a cal 30 based watch. The dial is poorly refinished and hands were replaced at some point. If you can provide images of inside the watch and of the case back, we might be able to be more specific. Hope this helps.

Looks like a calibre 30T2 from around the very early 1940's. Case appears to be original and genuine Omega. Overall a very nice watch with a refinished dial and replacement hands.

Odd - looks like when the dial was reprinted, it was not done even close to straight. The stem lines up with the crown wheel on the movement photos, so the movement appears to be in the case straight. But the stem does not line up with the "3" on the dial...

Could dial feet sheared off as well, but then the watch would not likely run as the dial would bind on the sub-seconds hand.

Also looks like one case screw is missing or sheared off.

    Cheers, Al
