    Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a vintage Beads of Rice bracelet but the trouble is ... I have a small wrist and adapting size on the clasp is not enough.

I know it is possible to reduce the length of it by removing links but I do not know the method.

Is anyone here could explain me?

    Thanks

Wait, I think you showed two different bracelets!

I refer to the first one only!

OK, they don't seem to be removable.

As far as I know the only way to remove elements here is:

You have to bend up at least two rows of the "rice elements" at the center (see the red markings)

After removing links you have to close the rice elements again with a fine pincer.

I have done that myself, it works.

If you don't want to carry out that work yourself you ccould give it to a jeweler or a watchmaker

oops ! you right those are not the same - there is a double beads of rice too :)
but same issue of sizing ...

Thanks very much for taking the time !

I would want to give it a try ... would you have any reco or link to buy an appropriate fine pincer

    Thanks again !

This is not an Omega BOR, is it?

The Omega ones have solid ends to the links and are much easier to adjust. In there is a spring bar (similar to the ones at the watch head) and you compress both sides of that bar to remove the links, just like removing a strap from the head. Here's one below and you can see the holes where the spring bars are.

Hi Chris, thanks for your answer - No, it's not one like this ...and it's not Omega branded one
This system is way easier indeed !

Any decent watchmaker can do this for you while you wait. I personally don't like fiddling with these bracelets but then my fingers aren't so nimble.
