    Hi there

I recently bought an Omega Seamaster 166.010 with a bead of rice bracelet, got it serviced and enjoy this watch a lot. However I do not like the bead of rice bracelet too much and I am thinking of getting an alternative bracelet that is less dressy/elegant. I wonder if a bracelet from a another Seamaster would fit?

    Eg. something like this:

Anyone did something similar to a Vintage Seamaster? (I know, my intentions might be heretic to some of you, I beg you pardon). Thank you in advance.

I've been looking for a heads of rice bracelet. Do you know what lug it will fit. Mine is 18mm 136.011. Mine came with some crappy looking aftermarket bracelet that barely fit .

Maybe I should have mentionned more precisely in the OP that I dont' want to trade my bead of rice bracelet. I want to keep it for special occasions. I am just looking for an alternative bracelet that looks less dressy for daily wear.

It's going to be difficult as bracelets you are looking for are made for 19mm lug or more..
1125 is the narrowest made for 19mm lugs with 617 and 560 end links.
605 endlink is the only endlink I know that would fit a 18mm lug AND a 1125 bracelet, BUT it does not mean that endlink does fit a 166.010 case..
So, find a $300 1125 bracelet on Ebay, wait 2 years till 605 endlinks shows up, try it, and realize that it does not fit... not a good plan

Thank you for the detailled answer. What a pitty. Then I think I will stick with my BOR bracelet or get a nice leather strap.

    Reanimating an old thread...

Yesterday I tried to attach the steel bracelet (1471/815) from my Omega Speedmaster Automatic to my vintage Seamaster. And to my big surprise it fits perfectly. Doesn't look too bad IMHO.

And here with the original bead of rice bracelet

Very nice! I prefer the look of the BoR myself, but the Speedmaster bracelet looks quite nice too!
