·For sale vintage Baume & Mercier 1950 Chronocraphe 18 K solid gold.This is a family watch from my watchmaker.
I ask Baume & Mercier with pictures of this watch an here is the answer:
Thank you for your response to Baume & Mercier and for providing us with the additional information.
Based on the information provided your timepiece is a 18K Yellow Gold Chronograph which dates back to the 1950s.
Please be informed that from looking at the dial we are not sure that it is indeed the original dial, as usually there was always Baume & Mercier written on the dial. Furthermore, the word “Chronocraphe” is wrongly spelt – with a ‘c’ instead of a ‘g’.
Therefore, we assume that it may either not be the original dial or it has been intervened on.
However, the form of the watch case, the push-buttons and the engravings on the movement are all in line with our creations of that time.
My watchmaker make a complete overhaul to the watch, the clamping back pins on the dial fit perfect with the movement and of course the holes for the second, minute and hour hands.The watch keeps time perfectly, the chronograph works properly and reset to zero without problems.
Price: 500 € plus shipping cost. Pay Pal accepted.
