Hi all,

I've been a passive reader for a while now and wanted to introduce myself and my vintage Omega watches.
The Blue Big Crown Seamaster was bought via this forum some weeks ago.
See the pictures below.
Besides the vintage ones there are some modern ones too.

The Constellations have really gotten my attention lately (bought 4 of them this year).
N.b. I know the case of the Pie Pan must have polished before I bought it, but I still like it.

My question concerns the Blue Constellation.
This is the only one with a different glass. It is not Plexi like the other, so I assume it is Mineral Glass?
Could someone inform me as of which date Omega started to use Mineral Glass (or others?) in watches?

I live in the Netherlands and started to get interested in mechanical watches 8 or 9 years ago.

Forgot to mention: as far as I know, the Blue Constellation is reference number 168.0057 and was produced in 1970.
The other Constellations are 1 to 3 years older

 

Please? Tell me how this works. You joined the forum the middle of October this year. As of now you have 3 posts. Some weeks ago you purchased a watch through this forum. Were you not subject to the 200 post requirement? Were you a member at the time of purchase? What am I missing? What don't I understand? Please help me understand.

You don't need 200 posts to buy, just to sell. Some people join just to communicate via PM and purchase a watch.

You can PM, but remember as a new member with no history they may not respond to you. The restrictions are only to posting to that forum to prevent sales posts. My guess is that the security setup prevents all posts not just new threads.
