    Hi good folks.
My elder aunt asked me for help to replacement of battery to make the watch moving again. She had been not in use for a while. There is no battery inside. The calibre was shown L167.2

Please help to advise the model of the battery. Thanks.

The battery "lid" says Ø6,8 H1,6

This is probably the measurement (in mm) of the button cell battery you need.

    Thank you very much.

After replacement of new battery, the watch is still no moving. Do I have to visit to longines service for repair. Or any chance to repair vintage quartz calibre? Or Where can I find this quartz calibre for replacement at low cost.

    Thanks.

Dang... Dont think those movements are easy to source. You can try to
heat the movement carefully with a hairdryer, maybe it will wake up.

Wow- impressed to hear about such a trick.
What is it about the heating that wakes up a quartz movement ?
My initial reaction would have just been to say « bring to a professional watchmaker ».

Lowers the oil viscosity. Gets the juices flowing :)

Wow, and that only works on quartz? How about hand wind then??

Anything with oil. Not a fix, however. There is still the underlying problem of dirty, old oil.

I guessed that the watch was stored in cabinet without battery for a long time. So it was used a warm air to start up. Thanks

I have used electric demagnetizers to jump start quartz movements.

Likewise. But only on cheap Chinese movements where the replacement cost is less than $5.00.
