    Cheers @destroid
On 7mate for those here in AUS.
Down to the last 2 hours and 46 minutes as of now.

Meant to have a diary note to try and be down there. D'oh.
    Maybe next year.

I think that GTR would go nicely with your watch.

Not even the real Bathurst . The V8s are the real deal for me, boy had some fun there in my youth, shame they took the fun away years ago.

    Yes but the variety now: V12, V10, V8, V6, Flat6, I4 - with 0-2 turbos

Agreed - I just need the livery and wing for mine:

They didn't take the fun away. We used it all up in the 60's.

I only went to the mountain once.

Somebody stole one of our slabs and my tent burnt down in the middle of the night. I think somebody did it for a joke.

Lucky I was sitting around the camp fire drinking Stone's Green Ginger at the time :D.

I've seen stats for beer consumption at that race that are flat out insane.

Beer allowance was calculated at 1 slab per man per day.

If you couldn't drink it all (like, if you were a girl) you could barter some cans for food, but the smart guys bought cans of baked beans and Tom Piper Corned Beef so they wouldn't have to relinquish any beer.
Beans and beer for breakfast, beef and beer for dinner, all the carbs and protein a man could need.

Cheezus, I was an idiot when I was young.

If it was the 80s ? Would have been my mates, driving one of the bush bashers on fire through the camp area. ;)

We used to tow a car (bought for under $1000) full of beer up for the paddock festivities. ( that's a car each for 7 of us ) Boys I went with were some of Rooty Hill / Mt Druitt,s finest.

10 slabs for 4-5 days and you could buy beer when you ran out. :whistling:
