Just saw this last night at our local Botique. Has to be seen to be appreciated!

Coolest feature is the running seconds, indicated by the squirrel's left ear.

Will be limited to 32,000 pieces, commemorating the frequency of the watch's silicon dioxide electronic oscillator.

Advance orders are being taken for pre-qualified Botique customers. Release date and pricing have yet to be announced.

Nice try, but everyone knows squirrels don't like Speedmasters. Squirrels like nuts, they are not actually nuts like Speedmaster geeks.

Oh, and you forgot to call it "art deco military".

From what I understand, "WWW" will be inscribed on the back using that cool font from 1920s Omega adverts. I think that checks off the art deco and military boxes.

With respect, you have been misinformed about the functionality of this little-known classic Speedy. Omega, recognising that most Speedy owners are nowadays impoverished after shelling out thousands of pounds/dollars for any manque old thing with 'patina', came up with this special edition which saves money on running costs. To reduce the frequency of battery changes, the watch goes into winter hibernation in late October - this is signalled by the squirrel in the left sub dial winking (yes, winking). When 4 elapsed months are shown by the sub dial, a shake of the watch gets it going again, though this aspect of the watch's technology has yet to gain NASA approval.

Sorry but that is a cheap fake from Bucharest

The actual edition is not out yet. Based on the 50th Anniversary with the applied Gold Hippocampus, the real watch will be coming soon out for the 60th Anniversary Edition. It will be numbered, but not limited. Thanks to our inside sources the moderation staff has been able to procure an early press release image (thanks Superdoc). I think we have even scooped Pursistpro on this one :whistling:

I forgot to post some details:

The watch was designed at an undisclosed location in the Siberian Gulag Archipelago, by the same team responsible for the Apollo XVII 40th Anniversary LE. There will be both Stainless Steel and Platinum versions. For the platinum version, the squirrel will be made of a special 18k gold amalgam called Squirragold. Also, for the platinum version the LE number will be tattooed on the squirrel's right bicep.

@Jones in LA , heading to our boutique tomorrow to get a ceramic deployant for my DSOTM. Can't wait to order my Squirrel Speedy. I'm pretty sure I'll be filling out paperwork for an hour to get approved.

I've heard that it's an audition process this time around. Be sure to wear spandex!

As long as they don't rat me out to my wife. The next trip to Paris could be painful.

    Not flat enough.
(I wonder what tipped me off this Speedmaster thread was worth clicking on.)
