i love the look of it. just remove snoopy from the front and the failure and 14 seconds text. the lume on the outside of the hour markers is sweet.
I hope this model does well enough that they consider making a regular variation without all the special edition stuff. Take out Snoopy and the squares; keep the white dial, hands, markers, and bezel.

It can only do "so" well since it's a limited edition. They will most likely sell all 1970 of them, after that only the secondary market value will tell.

If i'm ever to buy a new watch, this WILL be it. I think the thought bubble would've been better utilized had they extended it to the "what could you do in 14 seconds", the two amounts of text seem redundant, but that's quite possibly my only complaint about this- everything else is superb. This is a redeeming and "above and beyond" piece after seeing the juicy-J all white speedy. Hope is restored ::psy::

I actually like the text honestly. It's inspiring and I'm big into personal development, so every time I look at my wrist, I'd be inspired to forget my personal excuses and make things happen.

'Eyes on the stars' is my inspiration and what helped sell me on the original. I liked the fact that only I (and well other people who had the watch) knew that was on the case back.

Well, depending on how quickly it sells out. Up until very recently, my local boutique still had a new Alaska Project which was also built in a total quantity of 1970.

Having thought about it a little more, I would've preferred to omit those boxes, shorten the indices there along their outside edge, and put the "14 seconds" text in the space created. But I still like this one overall.

IMHO.......Looks like the kind of watch you might purchase, for a small Child.

Damn, I think I will need to get this. Anyone know what the price will be? Just made a sizeable dent in the annual watch budget already...

In USD it would convert to around 6200 so maybe they will price it 6500 or so.

There are only 1969 available, because I'm buying one of them. 😁::psy::

Taddy's photoshop is the way I would prefer it but I like to keep it simple. I think the text is hardly an issue though with me, not even close to a deal breaker, but this watch contains SO MUCH WIN. For me personally, it knocks two watches off my list (original snoopy which I don't like all that much, and the original Panda which I like more).... I can consolidate both of those needs with this one piece, plus the caseback is over the top awesome, the bezel is a huge upgrade, the snoopy image on the dial is awesome and just so much better than the first snoopy watch. White dial is just spot on, and to my eye much more aesthetically pleasing than the Apollo XI 35th..

Make that 1968 as I will get one as well to match the original snoopy. I think I am starting to have too many speedy pros

hey @Superdoc, is that a ceramic clasp on the deployant. if so, might be JUST the 'fix' for the DS tang/buckle dilemma...

the clasp is the ceramic head... Steel deployment ... I'm Sure current ceramic owners will jump at it... I know I will!

6500 seems too little for the snoopy... It is ceramic...
If that's the price then get your deposits in now!!

I can always dream or fly to switzerland to buy it in chf. RJ, join me on a quick trip ;-)

I will have to get a new black strap and deployant to get that ceramic deployant head. If I didn't just buy a watch today I would be placing a deposit on the snoopy now. Will need to wait a bit first or buy another birkin for the wife sooner than planned.

Scratch that ... Steel not ceramic... 6500 is still a bargain!

I love how Omega has trained us all, change dial, bezel and back, make it a limited edition and we all think it is a deal when it is only 6500! ;-)
Unfortunately I am one of those people.

Not a Snoopy guy, and I don't care for the dial text, but man the bezel is amazing - and not just the lume.
