This one we've known about for a while but we've got some great live pictures of it in the metal, its been slimmed down height wise to make it more compatible with a wider range of wrist sizes although its still not a small watch at 44.25mm. I'm not sure if the white dial with black subdial rings had been released until now but I think its actually the best looking of the dial options on this one.
The Master Coaxial Speedmasters do nothing for me. Now the racing configuration in a Speedy Pro, well that would move the needle.
I know what you mean, I respect the 9300/9900 movement but I'd still rather have these dials (especially the white with black rings which looks great) in a Pro case with Cal 1861.
The grey dial looks good. These are priced above the trilogy LE's. I like these new ones. The hb sia and other racings in the line up last year just didn't cut it. These nail it.
Really curious to see these live on the wrist. Could be my first Omega 9300/9900 chronograph. Can't help feeling the white/light grey dial with black bezel and black ring sub dials might have been inspired by the Daytona LN Ceramic.
The white dial is actually pretty cool, reminiscent of the Daytona in the best way.... but the 9300 Speedmasters wear super-huge in stainless steel. Only the original-spec Dark Side seems to work well in this case
Looks like their response to the Daytona but 44.25mm is too ridiculous for the average person, especially with a white dial
For me appropriate watch size really depends on the use case. The Daytona has the advantage that it can span a wider range dress to sport to with its more 40mm thinner oyster inspired case. I would buy these new Omega chronographs just for casual wear, at most business casual wear but not with a suit and tie. It would complement my XI-45 and upcoming Speedy Tuesday. Another watch that I might consider as an alternative to this Omega for my collection is the yet to be released Heuer Autavia LE with a silver panda dial with the beads of rice bracelet, which looks much nicer than the current Autavia reverse panda dial release. The steel bezel integrated with the silve dial and tachymeter scale seems to work much better...can't find the post where someone on the OF offered a poster with a sneak preview of that version...however I am not sure about reliability/performance of the new in-house Calibre 02 and whether it will be even COSC certified for this watch.
The black dial wit the orange hands looks the best to me...gives it a bit of a sporty flair. Plus, if I end up getting it, I can prove to my wife that not all my watches have plain black or silver dials.
Its possible that this one in the OP is silver and the lighting just makes it look white, not sure to be honest.
there you go, dark gray with silver dial. very appealing! https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/omega-speedmaster-racing-master-chronometer-introducing
I'm loving the white dial. I'm really curious to see what the thickness is. Anybody heard anything yet? All I keep reading is that it's thinner than previous versions of the 9300/9900 but I haven't seen any specs.
No news yet regarding thickness. Come on! Also why are there only two models on omegas website to look at. I would love to be able to explore all of these models.
They lowered the thickness a bit. Black and white model has black on black chronograph hands. Not sure it's legible.
