I am sure we have all seen some really nice vintage watches where the mid-case or bezel chrome has worn off or corroded. Are there restoration specialist the can restore/re-chrome the these damaged cases?. Would it be advisable from a value standpoint?.

I'll admit I've found many lovely dials trapped in ratty chrome cases and I've been very tempted by the notion of rechroming a case, but have never done so myself.
