I think $5900 is too high. This bezel is particularly chewed up around the edges and would only look "original" with a 2915-3, 2998-1 or 2 in similarly poor condition. Most aren't.

My guess is that the bezel will be sold prior to auction end.

I thought 2915-3 and 2998-1-2 had the same base1000 bezels?!?
This is a rare bezel but the condition doesn't help out. Still searching for one in good condition.

 

We have discussed this type of bezels and this is for 2998-1 / 2.

 

There are 2 different style Black Base 1000 bezels. According the MWO, both were OEM on the 2915-3, 2998-1, 2998-2

And 2915-3

 

You have photo of my 2915-3 end find a difference.

 

Your's is a style 2, DON Base 1000? The eBay is a style 1, not quite a DON.
Slightly Different bezels but both styles were used on all three watches .........per MWO.

I tried to explain but you always have to mention that book,ay have my theory and practice in this case, my interest is 2915-3 and this is not bezel for this reference.
