Well......it looks like I've been banned from ebay for the forseeable future by SWMBO.

I made a sneaky purchase yesterday, a full size blue seamaster that I've been after for a while, without getting permission beforehand.

I've tried using the "I'll see how it looks and then flip it because it's a bargain" line, but it's just not washing. [emoji51]

Looks like it's going to be a quiet time watch wise for a while. [emoji15]

On a brighter note, she's not said anything about buying off the forums! [emoji13] [emoji13]

 

Zebras confuse predators by herding together and creating a pattern which precludes singling out an individual. The same strategy can be applied with SWMBO and watches. Buy em, keep switching them and soon they are just a blur.

One technique that has worked well for me is here..

 

Buy Speedmasters, they all look the same, so no questions. Ed White looks same as -71 and as a straight writing, and as a 3572.50 etc.

 

Ha! Get that from the wife all the time about her shoes. I recently complimented her on her new Channel boots. "Oh, I've had these..." But she screwed up and used my account when she bought them. The receipt came directly to MY email. Now she says nothing when I want a watch. Those are $1300 boots!
