Looks great! It looks to be in great shape. I have the 166.068 but in the grey dialed "Poppy" version.
I'll post pictures as soon as it arrives. I've been after one of these for ages. I just hope I'm not disappointed.
I'm excited for you. The hands and dial look to be in good condition and original. The bezel is also original and it's in great condition, I've found a lot of these that have been cracked or damaged. Enjoy it in good health.
None of them are as far as I know. This reference 166.068 should have a cal 565. I'm hoping the seller has just made a mistake in the listin.
As far as I'm aware none of them were quartz. They are from the early 70's and have the automatic 565 movement. Some were worn by the French military.
Hi Gaz6263. Congrats on a your great find that one really is stunning and about the best I've seen for sale in a very long time and as others have said that bezel looks to be in excellent condition which really is rare. Hope you enjoy it and can't wait to see your pictures once it arrives and I'd also agree in thinking he just made a silly error in saying its quartz. Marc
Nice catch @ 1200 £. If what's on the docs corresponds with what's inside, you should not be worried, the watch is genuine. A 31 mill serial is realistic for the Banana c.565 auto. The best is it has the T Swiss dial and an immaculate and almost impossible to find acrylic bezel.
