what's your opinion on a balanced 2-piece-collection?

Very unbalanced. That Sub is far heavier. I would swap the Omega for my personal favorite: SMP 2254.50. Then I would pack this thread up and ship it to WUS.

I’d perhaps shoot for the Trilogy 60th Anniversary Speedmaster, for daily wear,
And then the 1948 Sub seconds Seamasrer re-edition.

but delete the waiter pool dress diver (rolex) and buy a real watch

 

It is by no means a diver, but a rather sporty looking dress watch and in terms of balance of 2 watches I like those two.
If anyone ever wants to free dive to the limit of their watch, they’re welcome to my PO.
If they need to go to the dark side of the moon, the AP,
And if they end in the Bermuda Triangle, the Railmaster will help them back on track.

--> 2 "pieces" of what?
--> 2 is a pair, not a "collection"
--> 2 watches cannot be "balanced"

If you're looking for people to say what 2 watches they would own if they could only have 2, that's a very personal choice dependent on taste, preferences, budget, etc...

If I could only have two watches (and how does that even happen???), I would want one of them to be a chrono. But more likely I would sell the Rolex and buy 10-15 other watches.
