In fairness I don't actually know what the going rate on these is at the moment but 60k seems like an awful lot... guessing someone saw the new release and thought cha-ching? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Spee...974940?hash=item2ce7b53a9c:g:E~QAAOSwgs5cdxDYPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I recall reading someone said that these can potentially become the Paul Newman alternative. I can't recall who that someone is though.
https://omegaforums.net/threads/wis...hat-have-unrealistic-price-expectations.7766/ maybe? I don't know the rate for this either but. 60k..??????????? Uh...no thanks...
Hey I did the exact same thing to the Gemini 4, only much more successfully, and I sold mine before they blew up. That's how smart I am lol
Incidentally my dad is the same with cars, if he sells a car for nothing, assume it will be worth a fortune 10 years later. Literally every car he has ever sold for $2k or less is now a $50k+ car, and I'm the same with watches, after I sell them they go up and other people reap the rewards.
One sold 5 months ago at Phillips for CHF68,750. (Not as nice as the eBay watch, but with papers) The eBay watch is cleaner. Has the earlier oval O dial and a mint original bezel (along with a second one). Seller is asking 60K OBO. Maybe he'll take 50? Maybe he'll take 40? I guess you'll need to make an offer to find out...
It’s the one full set that Phillips sold as a « private sale » for 140k in November that makes people crazy with askings Still kindergarten compared to the Holy Grail
