I'm always reluctant to buy on eBay, especially if I don't know a seller, but today, I received two packages from sellers I was totally clueless about... I did get some help on the first one here, since I got the expert opinion of one of our treasured Longines gurus: << @ulackfocus >> Dennis... thanks again, pal!

So, here's the first one: 10K Grand Prize cal 343 Date@6 with sunburst from '6' dial:

Much more beautiful in the flesh (even if it is only 10k GF!) than I could imagine. I still haven't found a scratch or blemish anywhere on it; looks just like a new watch...

Because of it's NOS condition, I might be afraid to wear this one, no doubt.

The good thing is, I did also get a very wearable Marvin cal 560 today (by surprise) from another seller, so the itch to wear a new watch outside is also satisfied...

A surprise, because I never received any shipping info, and then suddenly today, it arrives! Just like those UK WIS's, always have a surprise, and this one was a good one...

Keep your eye out for those date-at-6 caliber 343 Grand Prizes and you'll soon appreciate how uncommon they are. Nice haul!

Thanks, guys, couldn't have done this or had the guts to do so without the help of all you fine lads.

Something else quite remarkable, but not as important in vintage, is the timekeeping and amplitudes on this one. I have a rather extensive collection of new watches too, and this one even beats them!

It's always a risk, but sometimes with risk comes high reward!

I don't own a Grand Prize, thus the confusion.

Not sure where I got a Silver Arrow and a Grand Prize confused , but that's a beauty, no doubt!

Edit: I figured it out. Both of those were watches offered by Dennis that I wanted, but I had pretty much already blown my 'wad'...:D
