    Music to my ears!

But this has to be one of the best sounding cars ever made-

Those are a LOT easier to get some serious noise out of, cause it's literally the Gallardo's V10 with just a slightly different tune.

Oh yes, 2nd on the list is definitely the LFA.

Third is the AM Vantage GT8

There is one of those gen RS6's in my neck of the woods, the thing is in retirement light lime green, has stock SE or equivalent rims on it, albeit 20inchers or so. Absolute sleeper.
Driven by a couple in their 70s, makes the entire carpark fall over when it starts up at the shops

Yeah there is an older lady who lives around me who has had one of these since new.
She lives in the neighborhood I grew up in and I remember when she first got it. Back when I was still in high school.
I moved away for 5 years or so and when I moved back I was so happy to see that she still has it and is still driving it.
It is very hard to miss lol.

Not quite the same but a very interesting car choice for a lady who is probably now well into her 60's.

Is it PTS? I thought maybe it was just a wild color they offered lol.
Could be. I have no idea honestly.

Quick read of MB forums suggests it wasn't PTS necessarily but was custom-ordered. The yellow is similar to some of the "Designo" offerings from the first-gen SLK. So it sorta is PTS in a way, but the sample is from MB's color pallette.

That is a cool pic. It'd be great to have a large version of that on a wall in my office.

This version is a bit larger, probably not enough for printing though

Edit: Ah-ha, here y'all go, the "A0" print at £45.99 is 47" x 36" (not as the web page says)

Another edit: I know the photographer! He was chief snapper for London Art Tech (LAT) at that time and covered all the Grands Prix for MotorSport magazine.

Laurie now lives about 6km away and has been a friend for 30 years. Sadly all the photos he took belong to LAT and he doesn't even have copies of them :(

It's crazy how those things work, I once found myself at a MotoGP FP session with 2 other friends. One recorded our walk down pit lane with his GoPro and I took some shots on my phone, at some point the head of security noticed us and kicked us out (we did not know we were doing anything wrong!) but first he took us to the media center and deleted the GoPro memory card!
All the professional photographers that are at these races take photos and they are legally owned by Dorna.

It’s certainly a great photograph, however it’s odd that the blurb for the poster print says it shows Graham Hill leading Jackie Stewart, which while true fails to mention Jim Clark who is right up Hill’s exhaust in his Lotus 33! This race was one of Jim Clark’s most impressive wins. He led at the end of every lap of the race, fastest lap, built up a lead of one and a half minutes before easing off in the latter stages to win by 45 seconds, and on a circuit he did not like.

Having greatly enjoyed the recent engine-music posts, I thought it time again now for some purely visual stimulation, (but just imagine the noise emitted at 8000 rpm):
