Extra horny for me as I was in my early twenties when I first worked with 2002s:
Is anyone going to be at the Caterham 60th event this weekend? If so - I'll be working in the paddock in the PT Sports Cars garages if anyone wants to pop by and have a look.
Here's my anti-show-off watch/vehicle pic from yesterday. Enjoy.
Was back at the Nurburg ring last week weather was perfect (maybe a little too hot at times) but did half a dozen or so laps and some razzing around the local region.
a few laps of the ring on the bike would be a great way to kill an afternoon, but sharing the track with wankers in (usually white) BMWs would give me second thoughts.
that and the ocean between myself and the track..... dammit.

I have to agree. I live just a few miles from Laguna Seca. In my younger days I used to play on the track on various motorcycles. Other bikes made me nervous. I couldn't imagine sharing the track with cars.
Yup... you just need to go on youtube and look for the videos of what these bananas do on the track and street when they get a bit too much power in hand for their skill levels... its enough to make you take the damn bus!
Lydden Hill 12-07-17. 'Slim and pretty:'
Is this an old tvr Griffith? I think I saw one at an auction from Coys in full race spec, looked realy mean and fun!
Found it... always pays off to keep the auction catalogues.
My ex 964... Sobs...
And my actual one!
Thanks for your enthusiastic replies. I must say that I used to have little regard for TVRs, but by now ones like this have a great appeal to me as they lack flab and bluster that later cars progressively acquired; (most notable on these lines are 911s - an early one looks so much more nimble and 993s were still OK, but since water-cooling they're not so attractive to me.)
The car at Lydden yesterday was described in 2014: Reputedly 1 of just 148 1600Ms made, this particular example is understood to have been treated to a body off restoration including a brake and suspension overhaul during 2001. Reportedly used for competition in the past, the TVR boasts a later Ford five-speed manual gearbox, Recaro seats and racing harnesses. Recently brought out of long-term storage, `STC 221L' is now in need of recommissioning. A potentially rewarding project, it is offered for sale with V5C Registration Document and sundry paperwork.

Enjoy your posts '88 and I think we share aesthetic outlooks.
cool bike, former police?
New toy, picked this dark blue 1974 Mercedes 450SL up about a week ago and have been enjoying it every day...
My daughter is in the car and every time we need to go somewhere she says "Can we take the SL!" She also wants to learn how to drive using it, with top down of course.
obviously a child of distinguished upbringing.
So - you did buy it! Now we are ebony and ivory! With that in mind - I do not know if congratulations are at place...
If I get to tease you for your US bumpers you can harass me for my limp dick exhaust tips...
Is that a stick I see?
