how rare (compared to other movements) is this movement and this watch ? How many were produced ? what is its 'history' ? Any advice appreciated ? cheers ! Alex
The picture of the movement is MUCH too small to tell what caliber it is. If it's a 351 or 354, they aren't rare at all.
I think it is an earlier movement as there are visible bumper springs... either 28.10 or 30.10 is my guess
gosh, how do you nice dial is re finished ? I thought i had finally bought an original Omega ! Is there a good book you recommend to start distinguishing real from re-done (which I hate ) . please enlighten, comrades !
The fonts are wrong - that's how you spot redials. Of course, that means you have to know original fonts on sight.
Here's mine with original font The Omega logo on your dial should be in ink or applied with round edges. Like this one (Early Seamaster Ref 2491)
