From what I read, the main complaint was the dial design which deviates from the classic Nomos design language. Some people also find the visual hierarchy of hands difficult to read, which I disagree.

I think the classic Nomos speaks modernism, while the autobahn speaks postmodernism. The attempt to symbolically reproduce a car speed meter on the dial is apparent in the design.

But hey, that's a heck of an awesome watch, bold and striking, I liked it a lot. The curvature at the edges of dial and subdial gave it a great visual depth and complexity, in a good way.

The grey background with blue looks the best imo.

    Do you like it?

    Can you afford it?

Do you want to own it?

If you answered yes to all three questions, you have your answer. Anything that anyone else says is somewhat irrelevant.

Striking looking watch, but imho, if you want a watch with design cues from car instruments, then Reservoir Watches might be worth a visit.

    For example:-

    Youre a bad influence mouse.

Just bought the longbridge royal blue online.

    I like the concept.

How are you liking the Reservoir watch a few days in? I'd never heard of these, then I made the mistake of reading this thread and that post by @Mouse_at_Large. Now, like you I'm intrigued by these watches - they are so different. The bad news is that I'm in NYC, so I can easily go and see some in the metal here because they have an AD...

I am curious too! Please share some thoughts regarding the Reservoir if that doesn't trouble you too much :)

I like it. Want to buy another one.

Gets confusing sometimes on jump hour. My first read is it’s the date.

Now i look forward to end of hour to see the jump.

I wish the lights and beam diodes were functional. Maybe AM or PM indicator.

Thanks! Re: AM/PM, I had assumed the hour scale was 1-24 and not 1-12, but I guess not.

If I was wearing one of these at work I could definitely see my productivity dropping for a few seconds every hour, on the hour!

If you really want a 24 hr, jump hour, retrograde minutes watch, then perhaps the Chronoswiss Delphis is the one for you.

Very nice. But if I might be so bold as to quote @pongster, “You’re a bad influence mouse”!
